oooh this is exciting!
The princess of K-pop is capturing the hearts of men and women all around Korea. It's singer turned actress, Eugene!
Her return to television is with a naive character, a simple girl from the countryside, and audiences are lovin' it! Today's STAR FOCUS brings you EUGENE!
Our cameras found her in the middle of filming the current drama series, ¡°I Really Really LIke You¡±. Her character has recently moved from the country to Seoul, getting a chef's job at the presidential Blue House.
Before the drama had started, many had voiced the opinion that Eugene's
cosmopolitan image wouldn't suit the image of an innocent young countrygirl. But they were wrong. Eugene even had the regional slang and intonation down!
¡°I Really Really LIke You¡± is set in Seoul, at the presidential Blue House and the story of the non-governmental people working there, such as the wait staff. Until now, Eugene had only played roles that were bright and courageous, afraid of nothing.
The friendly and plain character that Eugene is playing charmed the audiences in a much different way than when she had been a K-pop star.
Her name gained the title of "actress," after her roles in ¡°Save the Last Dance for Me¡±, and ¡°Wonderful Life¡±. We asked her what attracted her most about acting.
In 1997, Eugene debuted into Korean entertainment as a member of the K-pop group, SES. The group's popularity was unmatchable at the time. Unfortunately the group disbanded in 2002... But Eugene stayed in the game, releasing a solo album. It was a HIT.
When the group SES broke up, the three members went their separate ways, but three years later, they answered the pleas of their fans and held a memorable "2005 Reunion Performance."
The girls rapport was still flawless and their bond remained strong. Now, how about answering the prayers of their fans and getting SES back together!
¡°I Really Really Like You¡± is centered around the life of Eugene's character. There's also romance blended into the mix to add some spice - a love triangle between Eugene, Ryu JIn, and Lee Min-ki. From K-pop princess to full-fledged actress.. How would the star like to be remembered?
It's hard to believe that it's already been 10 years since her debut, but it's true! A multi-tainer of the 21st century, she has an impressive resume that continues to grow.
We can't wait to find out what she jumps into NEXT!

He’s known as the “prince” of K-pop, but also a multi-tainer. Lee Ji-hoon made his debut in the local pop music scene in 1996 when he was still in high school. His debut number “Why the Heaven” recorded an instant hit putting him on top of the local pop charts and making Lee one of the steady-selling singers. However, Lee had not been able to release a solo album since his 4.5th album released in February of 2001. Instead of performing on stage as a solo singer, Kangta and Lee formed a project group called the “S” with his close singer friends Kangta and Shin Hye-seong. In May of 2004, Lee Ji-hoon finally made a comeback as a solo vocalist by releasing a new album. Upon releasing the new album, Lee said that he has gained the confidence that singing should be his lifetime career. It was after 38 months since he introduced to the public his own song. The title song of the new album is “Promise”, a ballad that expresses well the characteristics of Lee. With a shouting-like singing style, Lee has returned to his fans with his expertise, a ballad. Lee Ji-hoon is close friends with other singers who were born in the same year, 1979. Top female vocalist Lee Soo-young and Shin Hye-seong, a member of Shinhwa participated in the new album by Lee Ji-hoon.
He also acted in the movie, “Lovely Rivals.” Recently, the 26-year-old played the role of Do-hyun in the television drama, “Wonderful Life.” With his Ex-girlfriend Eugene Kim. But they were friends and they enjoyed taping wonderful life.
And in Asia, he is slowing reaching Korean-Wave-status fame, as Japanese fans have taken quite a liking to S.
